Game 1 vs North Peace

Unbelievably well matched teams. The score was not indicative of the game.

Colby Ring started on the mound for BC and went 3 complete.

Tate Dearing came in and threw in 4th and 5th inning. Another great BC pitching performance.

Jake Kristensen scored on a hit by Colby Ring to the shortstop in top of 5 to make it 1-0.

Team BC exploded for 7 runs on a number of timely hits to go up 8-0 going into the bottom of the 6th.

Jayden Knight came in to pitch in the bottom of 6th and Riley Jones closed out the 7th.

BC was blanked in the top of 7 and North Peace rallied to score 2 leaving the final 8-2 for BC.

Game MVP for BC – Jake Kristensen

Game 2 vs Winkler, MB

Jacob Stebbing started on the mound for Team BC. Winkler struck first in the top of 1 scoring two runs off a couple of hits.

BC answered the call and scored two of their own to even it up in the bottom of the first.

The game stayed even for the next 4 innings with Winkler scoring two runs on a couple of timely hits in the top of 5. Team BC was unable to cash in on a few opportunities and the game ended 4-2 with Winkler finishing on top.

Game MVP for BC was Jacob Stebbing who went the distance on the mound. Next up for Team BC is team Saskatchewan at 3pm on Saturday.

Game 3 vs Weyburn, SK

Weyburn struck early and scored 3 in the top of the first inning.

Team BC scores answered back with only one in the first off of 3 hits.
Team BC was blanked in the 2nd inning at the plate. Weyburn really opened it up by scoring 5 in the bottom of the 2nd. Lots of well-placed hits for the Weyburn bunch.
Both teams came up empty in the third.
In the top of the 4th BC scores one on a triple by Jayden Knight.
Weyburn scores 1 in the 5th making it 9-2. As always s during this tournament and throughout the entire season, the Aldergrove boys did not give up and they managed to score two in the 7th but it just wasn’t enough to match a very strong team from Weyburn.
Pitchers – Mack Berry, Caleb Nielsen, Brockton Wickins
Game MVP – Brendan Winning

Game 4 versus Swift Current BC and Swift Current traded runs in the first and then Team BC took control of the game. BC scored one in the 2nd, three in the 3rd, one in the 4th, and 3 in the 5th and 6th.

The Swift Current Indians really are a better team than the score showed as they recorded 7 hits for the game, however the BC boys came to life on the sticks and stayed hot all morning. A big difference in this game was errors with the Indians committing 9 errors and BC only giving up 1. Nice way for the boys to finish the tournament. We are all very proud of our team. Thanks to BC Minor for supporting our efforts and our travels to Saskatchewan. It is definitely a trip our team will not soon forget…
