After families arrived in Kennewick on Friday the team held a 2 hour practice to get the rust off and prepare for the weekend’s competition.

the team will be playing against older competition and on 15U size fields at the Pasco Sports complex. Temperatures will be in the high 20’s through Sunday.

The first game on Saturday was against Walla Walla. With Team BC jumping out to a quick 4 run lead Walla Walla chipped away and finally walked it off in the bottom of 7. Team BC loses 8-7.

Second game saw Team BC play against Dragons Elite Baseball “Blue” and coached by Fernando Da Silva (Canadian National team and Expos Minor League system) and Raul Ibanez (19 year MLB veteran) which is one of the top teams in the state of Washington.. This game was a back-and-forth one run game throughout. The Dragons Elite went into the bottom of 7 with a 3-2 lead. Team BC bats helped the cause and some timely base running led to BC walking it off for a 4-3 win Saturday afternoon.

Team BC finishes the day with a 1-1 record a zero plus/minus and awaiting seeding for tomorrow’s medal round.

The team found out Saturday night the finished as the #9 seed out of the 17 team tourney with a 1-1 record in pool play.

Sunday rolled around and Team BC waited for the quarter-final game to be completed and saw Walla Walla win and set to again face Team BC. The game again was a back-and-forth tight game. Eventually seeing Walla Walla defeat team BC again by one run.

In the last game of the tournament saw the team from BC face the Kennewick Rangers and ended the tournament with a big 12-6 victory. The team ended the tournament with a 2-2 record against the older competition and larger fields.

Lots was learned by the players on and off the field and hopefully will bring this experience back and lead each of their individual teams going forward.

BC Baseball would like to thank the parents for their support, the players for proudly representing our organization and the coaches Jimmy Vulcano, Clayton Hall & John Braaten for instructing and teaching along the way.

Looking forward to continuing this program in 2018!
