Convention Wrapped Up Sunday.

image It’s hard to imagine the Coaching Convention has come and gone for another year. The 2017 version of the convention, which is one of BC Baseballs signature annual events, was by all accounts an overwhelming success. Sunday’s sessions included Chris Caminucci on Motivating Todays Athlete, followed by Ryan Harrison speaking on* Offensive and Defensive Timing*. Pete Caliendo wrapped up the instruction part of the convention with a Practical Hitting session

Sunday on the turf field was reserved for a 13U players clinic. The players were put through stations on hitting, fielding, catching and throwing. The 13U age group consists of 11 and 12 year olds. There is no doubt on the eagerness of this group to hone their skills and become better baseball players. The NCCP Pitching and Catching module was also offered on Sunday.
The hours of hard work that went into the planning and organization of the* Coaching Convention* paid off. It was impossible to spend even 10 minutes in one of the talks or sessions and not come away with an idea or two you could use to be a better coach, which will ultimately create a better experience for the 17,000 plus players registered in the BC Baseball Organizations and the many players of coaches from the other baseball organizations that came out to the convention . Mike Kelly and Committee, Thank You for putting on this event. See you on the diamond!
