College Prep-Midget AAA Showcase Huge Success

The 2016 (1st) BC Baseball College Prep All Star Showcase Event was held Saturday June 25th at Latrace Field in Richmond. Coaches, players, scouts and parents were all pleased and impressed with the entire day. The camp began with MLB type physical testing by Prime Sports Performance and Kinesiology, from Nanaimo. The testing was followed by 2 All-Star games, 1 for players in grade 11 and 1 for players in grade 12. Scouts and recruiters were in attendance and very impressed with the organization and the event itself. The scouts and recruiters included Don Cowan (Western Canadian scout for the Toronto Blue Jays), Chris Pritchard (UBC Baseball coach), Sean Corness (Fraser Valley University Coach) and Bill Green (former MLB scout).
As well there were representitives from as far away as Winnipeg. Also in attendance, was Ray Carter (past President, Baseball Canada) and Mike Sarai (President, BC Baseball).
Both the Grade 11 and Grade 12 games were competitive and allowed players to showcase their skills.
All the players thoroughly enjoyed the games and were looking forward to next years event.
BC Baseball is pleased to offer these kinds of programs for players inspiring to play baseball at a higher level.
