Ridge Meadows Wins 18U AAA Championship in hard fought battle with Kamloops

image Ridge Meadows Royals and Kamloops River Dogs faced off in the 2015 BC Baseball 18U Championship game today at 1 pm at Serauxmen Staduim in Nanaino. The Royals advance to the game by defeating the Chilliwack Cpugars 9-4, while the River Dogs advanced by defeating the host Nanainmo Buccaneers 3-2 . In a well played defensive battle, the game was scoreless through 4 innings before the teams each scored one run in the 5th. before Ridge went ahead with a run in the botton of the 6th. Kamloops was unable to respond in the top of the 7th, although they had runners on base. Rdge brought in Trevor Reed to close out the game Congratulations to both teams for a very exciting and entertaining game. Ridge Meadows is now off to Fremont Caiifornia to represent BC in a tournament there. The host Nanaimo Buccaneers volunteers did and outstanding job organizing the tournament.
